Jeffrey S. Gary, Vice President of Operations for MARA Technologies USA and the Invotek Group USA, is proud to be bringing the Invotek ‘We are your factory’ philosophy to the USA with the opening of the first ‘Made-in-USA’ manufacturing facility in Holly, Michigan.
“This 66,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is perfectly located to deliver the ‘Made-in-USA’ high quality electronic products that our clients need,” stated Gary. “My 15 years manufacturing experience in the Grand Blanc Township Michigan area provides a direct network to a large pool of skilled workers who are excited to work for Invotek. Within the first quarter of 2023, we will be in full production, with a work force of close to 300 people and we will be shipping ‘onshore-manufactured’ quality products which will help to mitigate supply chain challenges.
The Holly facility is the first phase of the Invotek Group’s growth strategy to help our customers deliver on the expanded demand for next-generation broadband equipment in response to the US Federal Government Broadband Equity, Access, and Development (BEAD) Program. The BEAD Program is a nationwide initiative to expand high-speed internet access by funding planning, infrastructure deployment and adoption programs in all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
“Our Holly manufacturing production lines are currently being installed and production and testing will be completed by the end of January 2023,” says Gary. “Our lead products are full manufacturing and assembly of broadband digital amplifiers for our long-term customer ATX Networks Corp., which will ship by April 2023.”
The decision for the Holly location was strategically based on the proximity to Detroit infrastructure, the availability of a local, skilled workforce, and the partnership with state and local governments. On November 10, Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and announced that MARA Technologies USA, was one of three business that the state has approved to support through the Michigan Strategic Fund for business expansions.
“We are excited to create good American jobs and bring production back onshore.”
Invotek would be happy to talk with you about your needs and how we can be YOUR factory for onshore products.
