Scott is an engineer and an operations and quality leader with a reputation for challenging the status quo to positive effect, initiating change, and driving results.
Both promotions are well deserved. Tom and Scott have each demonstrated superior commitment to our company’s values and mission, and this, in addition to their leadership experience and industry expertise, makes them invaluable assets to our organization.
As Co-General Managers, Tom and Scott will enhance efficiency and oversight in our large and complex Markham and Scarborough facilities. This arrangement will distribute responsibilities and ensure smoother operations. It allows for Tom and Scott’s diverse skill sets to be leveraged, fostering innovation and problem-solving. With shared responsibilities and diverse perspectives, the company can adapt more swiftly to challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and achieve sustainable growth in a competitive market.
The last three years have seen tremendous growth for MARA, both in Markham and at our new plant in Holly, Michigan, and it is this expansion that has driven the present change. Growth is expected to continue and dividing the responsibility for managing the GTA facilities will allow senior operations leadership to oversee growth at other locations as Tom and Scott lead our company to new heights.
